Joan Elizabeth (Bowden) Mulholland

Joan Elizabeth Mulholland was born in Somerset, England on April 14, 1926 to Thurston and Emily (Stenner) Bowden. She passed away on December 21, 2023 in Colchester, Connecticut.

She was predeceased by her husband James R. Mulholland, son Alan, brother Harry Bowden and sister Betty Victor.

She is survived by her son Stuart (Marilyn) of Melbourne, Florida, daughter in law, Emily Bradstreet, 5 grandsons, 13 great grandchildren and her friends Ted and Sue Price.

Joan was an avid gardener, tailer, baker and antique dealer. She especially enjoyed growing roses and was interviewed by the Norwich Bulletin for their gardening section. She was an employee at Reid & Hughes in Norwich for many years where she established many lifelong friendships.

The family would like to thank the staff of Harrington Court in Colchester for their wonderful care of Joan in her last years.

A graveside service will be Friday April 12, 2024 at 11 AM at St. Joseph Cemetery in Norwich, CT. Cummings-Gagne Funeral Home 82 Cliff St., Norwich, CT has been entrusted with arrangements.
