Gail Izzarelli

Norwich — Our Gail Marie left this world the evening of Jan. 5, 2024. Gail was born in New London, Sept. 8, 1954, the middle daughter of Raymond and Margaret Fuller.
Being the child of a Marine Corps drill sergeant, she and her family made numerous trips across the country and lived in California, Hawaii, Long Island, and Pennsylvania, finally settling in Connecticut in 1966. Gail was a busy, mischievous child who was never one to keep still. She did not care much for school, as evidenced by the number of times she skipped class with her sister Christy but managed to graduate and begin her working career. Gail was an industrious worker bee and was happy to be part of the manufacturing and housekeeping industries. She loved having a job and going to work every day and only stopped when her health began to decline. Despite that, she somehow managed to be a most attentive Grandma to her grandchildren. Gail was most proud of her decades of sobriety.
Gail loved her family and surrounded herself with their photos and cards. She leaves behind her loving son, Christopher (Victoria) Fulk; and her grandchildren: Marissa, Scarlette, Patrick, Kaden and Padme; her loving daughters, Rebecca Carter and Dawn Fulk; and former husband Vincent Izzarelli. Gail’s sister, Cheryl (John) Egan, will miss her as will her many friends at AHEPA and the wonderful nurses at the AMC Clinic at Backus Hospital. Gail was predeceased by her sister Christy Squires in 2022.
There is no visitation. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, at Sacred Heart Church, 52 West Town Street, Norwichtown. All of Gail’s friends and family are invited.
