Dennis Wolter Obituary

Preston – Dennis Raymond Wolter, 72, of Swantown Road passed away Saturday November 4, 2023 at the Lawrence and Memorial Hospital after a month long battle with COVID and pneumonia.

He was born March 10, 1951 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Eugene and Anne (Kirchman) Wolter.

Dennis was retired from Electric Boat in Groton and worked for many years as a bus and truck driver. He was a lifelong member of the Preston City Fire Department and rose to the rank of chief. It was truly his greatest passion in life.

Dennis is survived by his brother Eugene Wolter Jr, and his nieces Melodie Wolter and Wendy Buchanan, all in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. He will be truly missed. We love you and know you are at peace now.
